Donation Information

Items We Are Collecting:

  • Gently used softball equipment (gloves, bats, helmets, cleats, pants, gear bags, etc.)

  • Clothing for all ages and sizes

  • Feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, wipes, etc.)

What We’re Collecting & Why It Matters

As part of this year’s ELLA Clinic mission, we are collecting clothing, gently used softball equipment, and feminine hygiene products to support the incredible young athletes and families across the border in Ciudad Juárez.

There is a strong and growing community of girls and women playing softball in Juárez—but many lack access to the basic gear they need to stay safe, confident, and competitive. We are asking especially for softball equipment donations(gloves, bats, helmets, cleats, pants, etc.) in good condition to help ensure every athlete can play with dignity and pride. Equipment is expensive and hard to come by in the region, and your contribution can make a life-changing difference.

We are also collecting clothing (for all ages and sizes) and feminine hygiene products to support overall well-being and show care beyond the field. Many families in this area are facing economic hardship and humanitarian challenges that go far beyond sports.

Every item donated is a message of love, solidarity, and hope. Whether it’s a glove, a pair of cleats, or a pack of hygiene products, your gift matters deeply.

We ask that you give as generously as you can—especially in the area of softball gear—to help us meet a very real and urgent need.

Thank you for being part of this purpose. Let’s give big and love bigger.

Softbol Femenil - Ciudad Juarez

Why Your Support Matters

Ciudad Juárez is home to a vibrant and growing community of female softball players. From grassroots efforts to competitive teams, girls and women across the city are stepping onto the field to play the game they love, despite limited resources and funding.

In 2023, the Central Park of Juárez launched a free softball school for girls ages 5 and up, offering a space to train, grow, and belong. Coaches, many of them volunteers, dedicate their time to teaching the game and mentoring players. Teams such as Millennium and the Villahermosa Youth League have created strong programs that regularly represent the city in regional and national tournaments.

But they can’t do it alone!

Why They Need Donations

  • Lack of Equipment: Most teams rely on donated or shared gear. Many girls show up to practice without helmets, gloves, or bats. Your donations go directly toward equipment that allows every player to participate safely and confidently.

  • Accessible Training: Programs like the Central Park softball school offer free access to coaching, training, and mentorship. Continued financial support ensures these spaces remain open and available to families who cannot afford costly sports programs.

  • Empowerment through Sport: Prize incentives, uniforms, and tournament entry fees help keep these girls motivated and engaged. Your donation allows these moments of pride and joy to happen, on and off the field.

The Bigger Picture: Advocacy and Border Solidarity

Ciudad Juárez is a city shaped by resilience, but also by adversity. As a border city, it faces high rates of poverty and displacement. For many girls, softball is more than a sport it’s a lifeline. It provides structure, discipline, emotional support, and most importantly hope.

This league isn’t just about athletics. It’s about creating space for girls to lead, to dream, and to be seen. It’s about affirming that every child; regardless of where she’s from, deserves the chance to grow with dignity and purpose.

We believe in unity across borders. In El Paso and Juárez, we are neighbors, sisters, teammates. Giving back to our community doesn’t stop at the city limits, it reaches across and lifts those around us.

Softbol Femenil in Ciudad Juárez is more than a league. It’s a movement. It’s about showing girls that their dreams are valid, that their voices matter, and that their hometowns, on both sides of the border, believe in them.

Let’s continue building bridges. Let’s lead with love. Let’s support our sisters in Juárez.

If you’d like help writing a donation form, flyer, or social media post to go with this, I’d be happy to assist!
