Message from your host...

Isabella G. Slape:

Hi everyone,

I wanted to be the first to welcome you to the Third Annual ELLA Foundation Softball Clinic here in El Paso, Texas! Hosting this clinic has always been something close to my heart; but this year, it’s about more than just the game, more than mentorship, and more than athletic development. It’s about PURPOSE!

This year's camp is apart of something bigger than you and I. This year's camp is about bringing awareness, promoting inclusivity, and giving back to our neighbors. As a border city, El Paso holds a unique position in our country, a beautiful meeting point of cultures, communities, and stories. That’s why I believe it’s more important than ever to use our platform to share resources, create unity, and show compassion to all. We are all human beings, created with purpose, and we all deserve dignity, kindness, and opportunity.

ALL called by name.

This clinic is guided by the values of empathy, care, and connection. I believe in treating others with kindness, supporting those in need, and standing up for voices that are often unheard. I believe these are the key factors needed to create a safe space for everyone. At the heart of this clinic is a deep commitment to compassion, unity, and lifting each other up.

I encourage every camper, parent, and supporter to take time to go through every page of the website. There’s important information to help you prepare for the clinic and truly understand what this year is about, not just as athletes, but as people who care deeply about the world around us.

This year, we’re not just showing up for the game. We’re showing up for each other! We are more than athletes. We are advocates. We are strong. We are powerful, and in life we are teammates. In the truest sense of the word.

At the end of the day WE are ELLA!

With love,
Isabella G. Slape

P.S. Just a reminder from me to you: who you are is more than enough! You are Godly made, so never be ashamed of being unapologetically YOU. Stay true to your heart, stand firm in your purpose, and never forget that YOU WERE CALLED BY NAME. (Isaiah 43:1)
